Plan description

During the Cretaceous period, 80 million years ago, much of Hokkaido's mountainous region was under the sea. That is why so many ammonites and plant fossils are discovered in the geological formations of Hokkaido. The Yubari Mountains on the west side of Furano are a treasure trove of fossils. Since this is an experience in nature, there is no guarantee that you will be able to collect 100% fossils. Please understand this before participating.

Fossil collection

I'm going to look for fossils of creatures that lived in the Cretaceous of the Earth's geological time 8,000 years ago. Travel back in time to the mountainous areas of Hokkaido, where it used to be the bottom of the sea. You can take the fossils you picked up with you.
