Experience indigo dyeing T-shirts or tote bags using indigo in Hozu, Kameoka, Kyoto. Create your own original indigo dyed T-shirt or tote bag! ●What kind of company is Kyoto Hozu Indigo Studio? Founded in 1997. Kyoto Hozu Indigo Studio Co., Ltd., a Kyoto indigo dyeing and Ryukyu indigo dyeing studio in Kameoka, Kyoto, is a studio that revived the legendary Kyoto indigo "Kyoto indigo" in 2015 and branded it as "Kyoho indigo". We aim to revitalize the region through product development, sales, and experiential learning using indigo. While providing many Ryukyu indigo dyes to major fashion brands, we also create various specialty products of Hozu, Kameoka using Kyoindigo/Kyoho indigo. ●Recommended points for the indigo dyeing experience at Kyoto Hozu Indigo Studio! ★Point 1: There is a high degree of freedom in design, so you can create truly original works rather than starting from a fixed design. ★Point: This workshop is easy for beginners to participate in and feel at ease, as craftsmen who have been holding indigo dyeing experiences for over 1,200 people over the past two years will carefully explain how to dye. ★Point 3: There are a wide variety of experience materials, and you can change materials after entering the workshop. Flow of indigo dyeing experience

(1) We will explain the steps of indigo dyeing. (2) Come up with a design. (3) We will explain how to dye a T-shirt or tote bag while we actually dye it. (4) Enter the dyeing room and experience dyeing! (5) Take a commemorative photo with your finished indigo dyed item (if you wish). (6) We will explain what you should be careful of after you take it home. This is the flow of the experience.

Indigo dyeing experience information

There are sessions at 10:00, 11:00, 14:00, and 15:00, and the experience time is about 1.5 hours (you can make whatever you like within the time limit). ★Fee ¥3,600 (tax included) (This is the price for dyeing and teaching materials) ★Works T-shirts and tote bags (teaching materials are included in the price) ★Sizes 80cm to 150cm S, M, L, XL, XXL, and XXXL are available.
