Plan description

You will be asked to change into a craftsman's costume, make dumplings from udon dough, step on the dumplings, stretch them with a rolling pin and cut them, and enjoy a full-fledged handmade udon experience. Finally, you will have to eat your own udon noodles in a soup with tempura.

Make dumplings from udon dough and let them rest for a while

We make dumplings using the prepared udon dough, and while we let them rest for a while, we listen to stories about the types of wheat, the process of making udon, the secret to Prince Ieyasu's long life, and how he loved udon.

Step on the laid dumpling, stretch it with a cotton swab, and cut it.

Step on the laid dumplings with your feet, let them lie down for a while, then roll them out with a rolling pin and cut them with a kitchen knife or a manual udon noodle cutter.

Boil the udon you hit yourself and taste it

Change into plain clothes, move to another place, or boil the udon noodles you hit on the spot in the prepared pot. Listen to the explanation about "dashi" in the time it takes to boil. When it's boiled, soak it in soup stock (with tempura) if you like, and enjoy a meal that doubles as a tasting!
