Let's go see the scenery like another world that you can't understand just by seeing it from the outside!
Minamijima is a small uninhabited island in the southwest of Chichijima. It is a spectacular spot that you should definitely visit when you come to Ogasawara, which is almost always introduced in guidebooks and TV. It is home to the natural monument Coenobita and precious endangered species, and is also a breeding ground for seabirds and a spawning ground for green turtles. Many semi-fossil subfossils of Hirobesokatamaimai from about 1,500 years ago are rolling on the beach, and you can enjoy the scenery just like another world.
Let's aim for a valuable uninhabited island landing that can not be landed without a guide while watching the beautiful Ogasawara sea on a boat! If you're lucky, you might even meet dolphins and whales on the boats going back and forth during the tour!

Go to the scenic point of the South Island The view from the east ridge is a spectacular point that you should see once when you visit Ogasawara!
Area where subfossil spreads The South Island is not just a view from above! When you go down to the beach, you can see the scenery like another world where the shells of the extinct species Hirobesokatamaimai, which lived more than 1000 years ago, spread.
Free time to relax in Ogiike You can swim, take pictures, and spend your time in Ogiike, which has a white sandy beach.
You may be able to see the booby chicks! The South Island is also a breeding ground for precious seabirds. Depending on the time of year, you may see such a cute figure.
