Plan description

Choose damaged ceramic pieces and utensils from the Edo period and the Meiji period and restore them to the present age. By challenging repairs with genuine antiques, you will be able to experience repairing more beautifully and aesthetically than before breaking, not just repairing.

All the splicing materials are made of safe substitute lacquer that will not be covered and will be finished with substitute gold powder. It is for ornamental use.

You will go through the workshop 3 to 4 times in total * until you break the fractured surface, restore chipping and cracking, draw lacquer substitutes, and spread gold.
* Some differences may occur depending on how they break.

Course flow
1. Preparation Explanations(10 minutes)
2. Selection of materials
3. Production: Shape restoration: Broken surface restoration (60 minutes)
4 and 2nd visit: making groundwork (60 minutes)
5th and 3rd visits: groundwork, upper land, gold plating (60 minutes)
6th and 4th visit: finishing and picking up (30 minutes)
