Marusei Orchard is located on the Fukushima Fruit Line. Our staff grows a variety of fruits, including cherries, peaches, pears, grapes, apples, persimmons, and pears, with great care. Parfaits made with seasonal fruits are popular at the farm cafe "Forest Garden" located within the orchard.

This is a 3-night, 4-day training experience trip where you can make a small knife under the direct guidance of swordsmith Shohei Fujiyasu. Through the training experience, you will learn about the beauty and spirit that resides in Japanese swords, and the small knife you make yourself using the same process as a Japanese sword using tamahagane, the material of Japanese swords, is a one-of-a-kind treasure. [Experience content] Full schedule: 10:30-17:00 Day 1: After an explanation about Japanese swords and a tour of the forging process, you will have lunch and then a tour of the unbending and fire-making process. After the tour, it's time to experience it. First, you will experience fire-making. This is a two-day, one-night taxi tour where you can receive direct instruction from swordsmith Shohei Fujiyasu, observe the appreciation of Japanese swords, observe the forging process (preparing the base for Japanese swords), and experience hammering and copper plate inscription. Through the tour, you will learn about the beauty and spirit that resides in Japanese swords. After staying overnight at the famous Iizaka Onsen hot spring in Fukushima City, on the second day, you will be taken to a Japanese lunch using Fukushima City's specialties and Nakano Fudoson, one of the three Fudoson in Japan.

It is said that the origin of the large straw sandals was when the Niomon gate at Haguro Shrine was built and a pair of straw sandals made to fit the size of the Nio statues enshrined there were dedicated to the shrine. Later, people who were going on long journeys such as pilgrimages to Ise Shrine began to offer the sandals to pray for good health and a safe journey. In recent years, people have also prayed for good health, bountiful harvests, safety of the home, and prosperity in business. The "Akatsuki Mairi" festival held every February is a traditional festival that has been passed down for over 400 years since the Edo period, and a large straw sandal (currently only one pair) is dedicated to the shrine. The Fukushima Waraji Festival originated from the "Akatsuki Mairi" festival and is held every year from the first Friday to Sunday in August as a festival that protects the tradition of the largest straw sandals in Japan, promotes local consciousness, enjoys the short summer in Tohoku, and provides a place for citizens to relax. In addition, by donating a large pair of straw sandals (for one foot), which will combine with the large straw sandals donated at the "Akatsuki Mairi" to make one pair (for both feet), it also carries the meaning of praying for even stronger legs.

We will tour the farmer's fields and houses and work while having the farmer teach us.
