3-theater common ticket [Korakukan + Kosaka Mine Office + Kosaka Railway Rail Park] This is a great value ticket that includes a theater performance at Korakukan, a national important cultural property, the Kosaka Mine Office, the Kosaka Railway Rail Park, and a tour of the 3 facilities. The Meiji era playhouse Korakukan is still active for over 100 years and still performs regular performances (popular theater and other) today. The 2025 performances are April 23rd to July 27th, "Shitamachi Kabuki Gumi" Leader Mimine Toru → Starring Shingetsu Kaito → Starring Hitomi Hiroshi (Starring Subaru Toma), with performances taking place in rotation for about one month each. August 1st to September 15th, "Kanzaki Jun & 10carats" Fabulous Revue Boys. Actress Murai Mayumi and former OSK Nippon Revue Company member Subaru Mirai will appear. September 21st to October 28th "Gekidan Yumeiro" led by troupe leader Kenji Kano, former OSA Nippon Opera Company member Shiho Wakaki, special appearance by Mariko Endo. It is interesting that the performers change every year as this theater troupe was formed just for the Korakukan performance. This snow trekking tour searches for Asiatic black bear tracks in the winter forest. The beech forests of Hachimantai, deep in the mountains of northern Tohoku, are home to many Asiatic black bears. Explore the forest on snowshoes or skis, deep into the forest, accessible only in winter, in search of bear tracks. Through tracking, you'll learn about the trees used by the bears of Hachimantai and imagine what they were doing at different times of the year, learning how to maintain an appropriate distance from bears outdoors. You'll see various bear tracks, including claw marks in the trees, "bear shelves" where bears feed, and tree hollows (old hibernation holes). Learn about the trees used by bears through claw marks and winter buds, observe the footprints of wild birds and other animals, and experience the charm of the Hachimantai forest.

This highly recommended snowshoe tour explores the snow-covered fumarolic zone of the Ushiro-no-Ikegake Nature Study Trail in Hachimantai, a region of heavy snowfall in northern Tohoku. The tour boasts impressive mud and hot spring activity, as well as unique snow formations created by geothermal heat. The trail features moderate ups and downs, making it a special course only accessible during the snowy winter months. While visiting viewpoints where you can observe dynamic volcanic phenomena, such as the hot spring pond "Oyunuma" and the "Omud Volcano," Japan's largest, you can run across vast snowfields, sprint down powdery slopes, and enjoy sliding down natural snow slides. Customizable courses are available, so even children aged elementary school and older, as well as those with limited physical fitness, can participate. From late April to early November, popular plays and revue shows are performed once to three times a day. During the winter months, when there are no performances, the museum is open as a tour facility.
