It can accommodate up to 10 people. In this lesson, you will be able to experience Iai, Gekiken (Kendo), and Batto (trial cutting). These three things together are called Kenjutsu. In Iai, you learn how to handle a sword, in Gekiken, you learn how to maintain distance with your opponent, and how to attack and defend, and in Battou, you learn how to cut. ～Flow of the day: Time varies depending on the number of people～① Demonstration (3 minutes) ② Lecture on swords (20 minutes) ③ Changing into training clothes (10 minutes) ④ Iai lesson (20 minutes) ⑤ Gekken lesson (20 minutes) ⑥Trial cutting (20 minutes) *2 straws are provided for each person, but if you would like to cut additional straws, please let us know (2 additional straws: ¥1,500 including garbage disposal fee) ⑦Granting a seal (5 minutes) ⑧Private clothes Change clothes (10 minutes)

Our ancestors were shinobi samurai who started to serve Tokugawa Ieyasu (the first shogun of the Tokugawa Shogunate) in 1582. The clan served the shogunate for 265 years. In 1868, the clan declined the invitation from the Meiji Government and became independent. We are the only lasting shinobi clan in Japan. We invite you to come to our clan dojo where real master practitioner and professional interpreters take charge of all workshops and seminars. This is good for people who want to get a deeper insight into our ninja and samurai cultures . We still handcraft our tools and weapons. Feel free to ask any questions as we have kept our shinobi samurai tradition for over 450 years.Our ancestors trained locals and their servants to be shinobi.(Ninja is a new word used in movies. Shinobi is the word which was commonly used in the feudal times,)The term "shinobi samurai" is not well-known, but you can be one of the few who knows the history and shinobi philosophy and mindsets. The shinobi samurai trained ninjas and lead ninjas as their mastermind.You will wear a ninja outfit to learn ninja techniques and learn samurai sword techniques and manners in samurai garb.

"Samurai Training Tokyo Asakusa" is a samurai experience plan supervised by Takafuji Ukon, the head of the Ukon School of Sword Dance, which is active on the world stage. Feel like a samurai by changing into a hakama and holding a sword in Asakusa, a popular tourist destination in Japan! A swordsman from the school will carefully teach you how to use a sword. The content is designed to allow you to enjoy swordsmanship without being too rigid, so it is also fun for children and groups. At the end of the experience, you will be presented with an official school certificate with your photo, so please feel free to make a memorable and recordable memory of Japan!
