A starry sky and a mysterious night adventure! Coconut crab night tour A night tour where you can encounter precious creatures while exploring the great outdoors at night! Before searching for coconut crabs, we will start by searching for creatures in the jungle. In the jungle, you may see nocturnal creatures unique to Yaeyama. You may have a chance to encounter snakes such as the viper, the Yaeyama scorpion, one of only two species of scorpion in Japan, the scorpion-like imitation, the agile Sakishima tree lizard and Sakishima grass lizard, Yaeyama's endemic frogs, and even the Ryukyu wild boar and Yaeyama flying fox! After that, we move to the coast and finally start searching for coconut crabs. We will observe the ecology of the coconut crab, one of the world's largest terrestrial crustaceans, up close. On the beach, you may encounter land hermit crabs, various crabs, and if you're lucky, even sea snakes.
