A gigantic icicle will swallow you! Let's explore the artistic Shichijo Falls created by ice in Hokkaido in winter♪ The ice art is truly impressive♪ The icicles will cover the waterfall day by day. We are the only shop on-site, so we put safety and security first. The Hyoto Festival (one of the three major winter festivals in Hokkaido) will be held from mid-January to mid-February and will color Lake Shikotsu♪ You will be missing out if you don't come~ *Tour time schedule* ① Meet at the shop in the Lake Shikotsu shopping district. Fill out the consent form and make the payment. ② When you are ready, get in your own car or the shop's car if you are not, and head to the parking lot in front of the entrance to the waterfall. ③ If you are driving, leave your car in the parking lot and get in the shop's car. Drive to the entrance of the waterfall and proceed along the forest road ④ Put crampons (spikes) on your boots and go down to the bottom of the waterfall. On the way down, you will see the ice palace. When you get to the bottom, you can enjoy the magnificent view of nature along with the fine spray of the waterfall. Take a break and have tea together (if it is crowded below the waterfall, you may have tea in the space above). ⑤ Slowly return the way you came, and if you are using our car, you can disband at the shop. (If you are using a private car, you can also disband on-site.) ★Limited to Lake Shikotsu area businesses★ "Mizu no Uta" day trip hot spring bath ticket (15:00-19:00: 1,500 yen/person) If you would like to take a bath, please ask a staff member. [Chitose River Cruise] It's about a 20-minute drive from New Chitose Airport, and you'll be surprised to see such rich nature in such a place... The Chitose River makes you think so. You'll go down with a guide while watching the fish peeking out of the crystal clear water and the small birds flying through the trees. We'll talk about a lot of things, such as Hokkaido's wildlife and vegetation, Ainu culture, and the history of development, while enjoying the breeze of nature. [Short course only available in winter] Chitose in winter is below freezing even during the day! It's extremely cold, but there are many beauties that can only be seen in such a harsh environment. The course is a canoe tour of about 2.5 kilometers from under the highway overpass that runs through the town of Chitose to the area near the Chitose City Sports Center! The snowy scenery spreads out on the riverbank with a good view, and wild deer gather along the quiet river, and you can see salmon running upstream, which is becoming a symbol of the Chitose River, until around February! The experience lasts 30 to 40 minutes, and it takes about an hour from meeting to disbanding. *The tour may vary depending on the weather and river conditions on the day. *Most tours are conducted below freezing, so please take proper cold weather precautions. *Safety is our number one priority, so the tour may be canceled due to weather or other reasons. Please note this in advance. *The boat will be boarded at a slight incline, so you will need to have a certain level of physical ability that does not interfere with your daily life. *If you would like to participate with 3 or more people, the tour will be by boat. Smelt fishing that feels like a fishing pond near Ishikari Bay New Port, which is close to Sapporo city. If you want to catch smelt, but the ice has not frozen yet, or if the ice has melted, we recommend this option for those who just want to enjoy fishing, or those who just want to catch a fish. The Ishikari Discharge Channel, a shortcut that connects the Ibarato River to Ishikari Bay, is a hidden spot for smelt fishing. The seawall is well maintained and you can enjoy it as if you were at a fishing pond. The location of smelt changes depending on the weather, and if your hunch is right, you may catch up to 40 smelt in an hour. Why not try fishing during the recommended time? Basically, you can take your catch home, but if you really want to try it as tempura, please contact us. On your way home after fishing, please stop by tourist facilities and scenic spots to enjoy a fulfilling day. *Free transportation is available from hotels in the center of Sapporo, such as in front of Sapporo Station.
