This is a great deal that includes a round-trip bus ticket for the "Amakusa-go" between Kumamoto City and Hondo Bus Center + a guided sightseeing bus "Amakusa Gurutto Sightseeing Bus". It is much more economical than buying them separately! This is a packed course that visits the Oe Sakitsu Church, a symbol of Amakusa's Christian culture, which is a component asset (Sakitsu Village in Amakusa) of the World Cultural Heritage "Hidden Christian Sites in the Nagasaki Region", and three museums that convey the history of Christianity to the present. (The number of stops at the Amakusa Christian Museum varies depending on the boarding time.) The Miyajidake Scarecrow Village Roadside Station on the course is a roadside station that reused the abandoned Miyajidake Elementary School, and is the first of its kind in western Japan! It is a very rare roadside station. Please have lunch at the Scarecrow Village Roadside Station Restaurant on your own. This special guided tour visits Ishiyama-dera Temple, which is associated with Murasaki Shikibu, the protagonist of this year's taiga drama, and the "To You, Shining Lake Biwa Otsu Taiga Drama Museum." A local volunteer guide will provide a detailed tour of the highlights of Ishiyama-dera Temple and the drama museum. You can also enjoy the Seta River and Lake Biwa River Cruise, which gives you a sense of the history of the Ishiyama pilgrimage that Murasaki Shikibu experienced. This cruise departs from in front of the Ishiyama-dera temple gate, and offers a special experience of being able to enjoy the beautiful scenery that Murasaki Shikibu would have seen from the boat. It is a townscape walking tour of the world heritage Iwami Ginzan. On this tour, you will walk around the historic townscape of the World Heritage Site with a local guide from the Iwami Ginzan Guide Association. *Please note that this tour does not visit the mine shaft where silver was mined. The people of the town have continued to live in consideration of the landscape while protecting the ruins. As you walk through the town, you can feel the way of life that unites the community and values the town. During the tour, you will stop by a long-established confectionery shop that has been around since the Edo period and enjoy interacting with the locals. At Kanzeonji Temple, you can see the Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine ruins and the townscape lined with red Sekishu tiles. Enjoy a leisurely stroll with your guide. One bottle of mineral water is provided for each participant. After the tour, you will receive a souvenir of your participation.
