This luxurious experience includes making your own Akita specialty, "Kiritanpo," and grilling it until fragrant. Then, enjoy it in a specially prepared sweetfish broth hotpot, made with a generous amount of premium sweetfish (ayu). The venue is set in a traditional Japanese hearth-style space, reminiscent of a folktale, surrounded by mountains and rivers. Relax and unwind in the warmth of the charcoal fire. The experience begins with watching local women "half-mash" freshly cooked, homemade Akita Komachi rice. Then, you'll experience everything from shaping the kiritanpo to grilling it over the hearth and finishing it off in the sweetfish broth hotpot. Our staff will provide attentive support, so even first-timers can enjoy the experience with ease. Families, friends, and international visitors alike can enjoy this experience. On snowy days, you can even play on the handmade snow slide in front of the store! Surrounded by a warm hearth and smiles, this is a unique winter experience you won't soon forget.

Snow is fun! Experience making a mini snow hut using Yokote's high-quality snow! Anyone, from families with children to those who just want to experience snow, is welcome to participate. Kamakura, a winter tradition in Akita Prefecture, has a history of approximately 450 years in Yokote as a New Year's celebration to worship the water god. The Yokote Snow Festival is held every year in mid-February and is famous for the construction of approximately 80 approximately 3-meter-tall kamakura throughout the city. In addition, approximately 2,000 mini kamakura are built by locals and children every year in the elementary school playground and Hebi-no-saki Riverside area near the festival venue, and are enveloped in soft candlelight at night. Why not create your own unique mini kamakura using the snow from Yokote, a region known for its heavy snowfall and the home of kamakura? Participants will receive a small souvenir.
