The Sasagamine Plateau is a basin-like plateau area surrounded by mountains at an altitude of 2000 m on the prefectural border between Niigata and Nagano prefectures. Located at an altitude of 1300m, people began to enter this deep mountainous area from around the Edo period. Yumemidaira is a forest that spreads beyond the dam bank of Lake Otomi. There used to be a sawmill here, and forestry workers and others lived in this deep mountain. In the forest of giant trees of beech and quercus crispula, walk along the promenade that was set up on the track traces of the past, and when you go near the Hyosawa River, which is the prefectural border with Nagano Prefecture, there is a huge wig that can be called the elder of the forest. The old tree stands quietly but dignifiedly. The course has few ups and downs, so even those who do not hike often can enjoy it. Join me on a guided tour around Muikamachi, Niigata. Starting from Muikamachi Station, less than 2 hours from Tokyo, we'll cycle through Minamiuonuma's rice fields and Niigata's best spring water on our way to the Hakkaisan sake brewery, all with ease on e-bikes. At the brewery, we’ll explore the story and tradition behind this premium sake, connecting centuries of craftsmanship, heavy snowfall, and pristine water. We’ll enjoy a delicious meal featuring onigiri made from local rice (vegan option usually available). On the way back, we’ll stop at a traditional four-season Japanese park. We’ll return to the station by 15:00, giving you time to explore the local onsen or head back to Tokyo. The tour starts at 10:00 and covers about 20km. 〜Flow of experience〜 10:00　Departure We will depart from the east side of Muikamachi Station 11:00　Niigata Best Spring Water We will stop a bit to taste the voted best Niigata spring water. 12:00　Hakkaisan Sake Brewery We will visit the sake brewery, have lunch and explore the nature around the area. 14:00　Japanese park We will visit and learn more about a beautiful Japanese park and its history. 15:00　Return We will be back at the train station to finish the tour.

Join me on a guided tour of Daigenta in Yuzawa, Niigata. Starting from Echigo Yuzawa Station, just 70 minutes from Tokyo, we'll cycle through Yuzawa village and explore Japanese parks on our way to Daigenta Canyon with ease on e-bikes. At Daigenta, we'll enjoy views of rice paddies and mountain peaks, take a break at the lake, and then ride downhill through the forest and old village. An optional lunch at a local café is available. We’ll return to the station by 13:00, giving you time to explore Yuzawa's onsen town. The tour starts at 9:30 and covers about 15km. 〜Flow of experience〜 9:30　Departure We will depart from the east side of Echigo Yuzawa Station 10:00　Japanese park We will stop for a while, enjoying the four seasons Japanese park of Yuzawa. We may see some Koi fish swiming in the pound. 11:00　Daigenta lake We will have a small break to enjoy the breathtaking view that Daigenta Lake offer. 13:00　Return We will be back at the train station to finish the tour, you will have time to enjoy the local food from one of the many restaurants. ☆Mt. Hiuchi, one of Japan's 100 famous mountains, a paradise tour above the clouds ☆Mt. Hiuchi forms the Kubiki mountains along with Mt. Myoko and Mt. On the hillside of Mt. Hiuchi, around 2000m to 2100m above sea level, there is a beautiful wetland area with Takaya Pond, Kurosawa Pond, and Tengu no Niwa. In July, when the snow finally melts on Mt. Hiuchi, the wetlands are filled with beautiful alpine flowers. The green of the fresh green, the white of the lingering snow, the colorful flower garden and the bright blue sky... The scenery is truly worthy of being called a heavenly paradise. After mid-September, the surface of the mountain gradually turns into autumn colors. Especially from late September to early October, the beauty of the Tengu Garden, Takaya Pond, and Kurosawa Pond is beyond description. This tour, which starts from the trailhead of Mt. Sasagamine at an altitude of about 1300m, will be a full-fledged mountaineering tour with an altitude difference of 800m. However, a spectacular view awaits us that will blow away the hardships of climbing! 〜Schedule for the day〜 6:45 AM - Meet at Sasagamine trailhead parking lot. Warm-up exercise + explanation of itinerary 7:00 AM - Tour start Departure from Sasagamine trailhead. First, walk through a beautiful beech forest to Kurosawa Bridge. 7:50 AM - Take a short break by Kurosawa's clear stream before climbing Kurosawa Bridge 9:30 AM - Fujimidaira End of the steep climb. From here, follow the flat road to Koyaike Hutte. If the weather is good, you can enjoy a spectacular view of Mt. Hiuchi, Mt. Yake, Mt. Kanayama, and the Northern Alps. 10:45 PM - Koyaike Hut Arrive at Koyaike Hutte with a triangular roof. restroom break. 12:15 PM - Walk around Tengu's Garden & Lunch Arrive at Tengu's Garden after 15 minutes from Takaya Pond. You can take pictures of the upside-down fire hitting reflected on the surface of the water, and enjoy a leisurely stroll through the heavenly paradise.
