During the Edo period, the Shikama Highway was constructed from the port of Shikamazu to Himeji Castle. It became part of the Silver Carriage Road, an industrial road that connected Ikuno Silver Mine, one of Japan's largest silver mines, to the port of Shikamazu, and still retains its appearance today. This is a cycling tour to try Himeji's famous gourmet food, almond toast. Meet at Akuto Co., Ltd. at 7:15 AM and start cycling at 7:30 AM. Cycle through quiet temples and old townscapes to the shop where you can find the almond toast you're looking for (about an hour). After eating, you'll be guided to a photo spot at Himeji Castle. This is a morning tour (*). Guides and staff on the day will be able to speak Japanese and English. We are accustomed to dealing with inbound tourists.

The room is a Japanese-style room with tatami mats, but you can choose to practice calligraphy at a table with a Terakoya desk and chair in seiza.
