Tenjin Festival is one of the three major festivals in Japan, boasting a tradition of over 1,000 years, and the sight of the Funatogyo (boat procession) that decorates the climax of the festival is spectacular! The dynamic "votive fireworks" that are launched in conjunction with the solemn boat procession that takes place on a fleet of over 100 boats going back and forth on the Okawa River are one of the highlights of the Tenjin Festival. They will create a highlight scene of the boat procession. The sight of about 3,000 fireworks (planned) lighting up the night sky is fantastic!
