This is an experience where you use a trap to collect sea fireflies, which usually hide in the sand on the ocean floor, and observe the fantastic blue light emitted by sea fireflies. After the experience, we will release the sea fireflies back into the sea. The guide will explain the ecology of sea fireflies in an easy-to-understand manner. Although you will not go into the sea, you will be required to wear a life jacket or life belt for safety. ~Procedure of the experience~ ① Gather and register (5 minutes) Please complete the reception. ②Explanation (10 minutes) An easy-to-understand lecture on the ecology of sea fireflies! We will also explain precautions. ③ Throw the collection trap yourself and collect! While waiting, observe the sand crabs. (30 minutes) ④ Observation and explanation (15 minutes) Observe the bioluminescence of sea fireflies. ⑤ Once the experience is over, the sea fireflies will be returned to the sea.

Takeno Town is located just 10 minutes by train from Kinosaki Onsen. In Takeno, a quiet town where old Japanese houses still remain, you can experience a variety of activities that allow you to experience the Japanese countryside.
