This is the “Junsai Picking Experience” in Mitane Town, located in the northwestern part of Akita Prefecture. In a swamp with a depth of 50 to 60 cm, the berries are harvested while riding in a small boat with a size of about 1 tatami mat and using a stick to steer the boat. Adults and children alike can safely experience picking, and we will carefully teach you how to ride a small boat and how to pick junsai, so even beginners can do it.
