Why do not you go out to Lake Rausu, the largest lake in the Shiretoko Peninsula? The area around Lake Rausu with an altitude of 600 to 700 m is an environment equivalent to 2000 to 2500 m in central Honshu. Stop by the large and small four swamps of different facial expressions, and aim for Lake Rausu while enjoying encounters with alpine plants and wetland plants. You can feel the richness of Shiretoko where diverse environments exist.

You can enjoy various scenery depending on the season!

Feel the nature of Rausu with your whole body!

It takes 3km one way and 6km round trip from the entrance of the mountain trail to Lake Rausu. There are many rocky areas and ups and downs on the mountain trail, and although it is a half-day course, you can fully enjoy the nature of Shiretoko with a little harder content than the one-day nature experience course. * Not recommended for those who have anxiety about their knees or legs in daily life.
