[Tokyo, Miyake Island] dolphin lovers large set! Dolphin swim to go from Miyakejima

Miyakejima is a volcanic island about 180km south of Tokyo, and the scenery created by its activity is so unique that guests say it feels like they are on another planet. On clear days, the sunsets and moon are beautiful, and the starry sky you can see is on par with that in a planetarium. This plan takes you from Miyakejima on a private boat to the neighboring island, where you can swim with the curious southern bottlenose whales and observe them from the boat (watching from the boat is surprisingly fun, too!).

The perimeter of the neighboring island where the dolphins live is almost circular and has no complicated inlets, so if you are able to make a full circle (it may not be possible or may not be possible depending on the weather), there is a very high chance that you will encounter an Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphin. Experience the excitement of curious wild dolphins approaching you. You may even be able to make eye contact with each other.

The main means of transportation to Miyakejima is a large ferry. It departs from Takeshiba Pier in Tokyo (the nearest station is JR Hamamatsucho Station, etc.) every day at 22:30. For example, on the weekend, you can take the ferry on Friday night and arrive on the island the next morning. On Sunday, after enjoying morning activities, you can take the 13:40 ferry and arrive at Takeshiba Pier in Tokyo at 19:45 or 20:40. (Departure times may change in the event of bad weather.)

Dolphin swimming is an activity that you do while snorkeling in waters where your feet cannot touch the ground. Learning how to swim and getting used to the ocean are important points for having fun with the dolphins. Therefore, beginners and those who are not confident can take training. Masks, snorkels, wetsuits, fins, and boots are also available for rental.
