Plan description

At Atsumi Fish Market, where fresh live fish are gathered from three seas, we will guide you through the serious fish auction conducted by fish brokers. A local marine specialist and market certified guide will enter the market and introduce you to the realities of seafood distribution, from unloading from fishing boats, the auction, and loading for the next distribution. After observing a skilled craftsman prepare the fish, you will be able to enjoy the fish you have just prepared. You will also get to sample the prepared fish and receive a 1,000 yen coupon for lunch or souvenirs.

About 90 minutes from Toyokawa IC on the Tomei Expressway Parking: 40 cars, large buses: allowed

If you arrive by train

From JR Nagoya Station or Meitetsu Meitetsu Nagoya Station, get off at Toyohashi Station, then transfer to the Toyohashi Railroad Atsumi Line and get off at Mikawa Tahara Station. Transfer to the Toyotetsu Bus Irago Main Line and get off at the Irago Misaki bus stop. 1 minute walk.

If you arrive by other means of transportation

60 minutes by Isewan Ferry from Toba Ferry Terminal (Toba City, Mie Prefecture), then a 10 minute walk.
