A life trip experience where you can feel the gods of Zao, fused with mountain worship [One day trip] A life trip experience tour that lets you feel close to the "gods" centered around Kattamine Shrine, which has long been a spiritual anchor for local residents who worship Mt. Kattamine in the Zao mountain range. At the "Dawn Pilgrimage to Kattamine Shrine" held at Kattamine Shrine in the Miya district, you will get a special look at the "100-kan Shimenawa Offering," where one of the largest shimenawa ropes in Japan is carried and dedicated to the sacred tree, as well as unreleased content that has only been held locally until now! We will provide a high-value-added experience that allows you to experience the culture and food surrounding this shrine in one place. Expected schedule "Tuesday, January 14th" 9:00 Departure from Sendai Station 9:45 Fox Village 10:30 Departure 11:15 Lunch (Zao soup curry) 12:30 Departure 13:30 Tour of frost-covered trees 16:00 Move 17:00 Dawn pilgrimage Watching Kagura dance ~ (light meal) ~ ~ Dinner at Miyazushi ~ 22:00 Return to Sendai City and disband
This festival is held every year at Kattamine Shrine in the Miya district. For the past 70 years, men who are in their unlucky years (42 years old according to the traditional Japanese age reckoning system) carry 100-kan shimenawa ropes and parade through the town before making an offering to the 500-year-old sacred Meoto Sugi tree in the shrine grounds. In addition, Kagura performances and a Dondo festival are held in the shrine grounds.
