Don't worry, we will carefully teach beginners how to ride the board and how to position yourself! Fully equipped facilities! Hot showers, private parking, changing rooms, toilets, everything is available! Why not try the water version of snowboarding at the foot of Mt. Fuji, whether you're alone or with a group!
Wakeboarding was born on the west coast of the United States in 1984. It is a marine sport in which a rope with a handle is attached to the rear of a motorboat or other boat, and while holding onto the rope, the rider stands on a snowboard-like board and rides on the water. The wake created by the boat's movement can be used as a jumping platform to perform a variety of tricks.
When you hear "leisure" at the Fuji Five Lakes, Lake Kawaguchi is what most people think of first. However, when it comes to wakeboarding, Lake Yamanaka is a little calmer and is more affordable, less crowded, and the surface is less likely to be rough. Experience wakeboarding while enjoying the crystal clear spring water, second only to Lake Motosu, and feeling the larger presence of Mt. Fuji than at Lake Kawaguchi! Lake Yamanaka is also closer to the highway interchange.
Since it is on the water, even if you fall, there is little risk of serious injury, and many women and children participate, so it is a sport that anyone can enjoy at any level, from beginners to advanced riders. We will carefully teach you how to ride the board and your posture, so don't worry!

Off the Wake This is a slalom technique outside of the wake. Once you've stepped outside the wake on your heels, shift your weight onto your toes and make a beautiful turn back into the wake. Once you've returned to the wake, shift your weight back onto your heels and turn to the outside. Repeat this. Compared to jumping techniques, this is a bit of a mundane technique, but it's the most basic of wakeboarding basics! If you're used to it, it might be a good idea to use it as a warm-up too.
Lips Slide This is a technique where you slide your board vertically on the undertow. The trick is to bend your knees and try to keep your center of gravity as low as possible! Also, if you keep the board flat, there won't be any splashing, so it looks cool. Be aware that the handlebars are in front of your hips to stabilize your posture. It's easier to try it at first by slowing down the towing speed and being pulled slowly!
Stile Fish This is a technique where you reach behind you with your back hand while jumping and grab the space between your feet on the heel side of the board. Pay attention to the balance of your upper body and carefully climb up the wake before moving into the action. You can combine it with other spin-type techniques, or even just a stilefish grab (grabbing the wakeboard) will look cool if you can get a long hang time!
Tantrum This is a trick where you jump and do a backflip at the same time. There are two main types: the straight type, where you turn your body away from the crowd and stick your chest out as you spin. The other is the bent type, where you turn with your upper body bent without opening it up. The trick is to hold the handlebars as low and close to you as possible, so that your arms don't open up. By the way, landing a wake trick is called a "make." Do your best to be able to do a variety of tricks!
