Nagaragawa Cormorant Fishing Museum (Gifu City Nagaragawa Cormorant Fishing Museum)

It is open all year round as a place to clearly introduce and disseminate information about the value of "Nagara River Cormorant Fishing," a traditional culture that represents Gifu City. Although "Nagara River Cormorant Fishing" is only held from May 11th to October 15th each year, the attraction is also promoted during the off-season.

During the off-season, cormorant fishing fishermen and other related parties are busy preparing for the next season. This tour is the first to allow you to see the cormorant boat shipyard and the cormorant fishermen's workshop in earnest!

You can visit the cormorant fisherman's house. You can learn about what the cormorant fisherman actually does for cormorant fishing, how the cormorants are raised, and also hear about the costumes, tools, and history of cormorant fishing.
