[Summary] Snowshoe trekking on a pathless road to the secluded frozen waterfall, Iori Falls, located further inland from Oku-Nikko. This is a course for those with good stamina, with a total distance of about 13 km. *Some parts of the course are outside the normal hiking route, so we have submitted a notification to the relevant authorities and are holding the tour. Reservations are not made at the time of application. We will respond promptly to your application, but please note that it may take some time. In addition, we may contact you to cancel your reservation after it has been confirmed due to snow conditions or weather. [About snowshoes] Snowshoes are a type of equipment that you wear on your shoes to walk on snow, similar to snow shoes. If you would like to rent them, please let us know in the answer to the questions when making your reservation. There are no special shoes for snowshoes, but we can accommodate a wide range of shoes with a hard instep that are cold-resistant and waterproof (such as snow boots). As this plan involves walking long distances, please bring your own hiking shoes or snow boots.

Nikko Yumoto Onsen is about 3 to 4 hours one way from Tokyo by public transportation. You can enjoy snow easily.

A nature guide will guide you.

Snow boots or winter hiking boots.) The temperature in Oku-Nikko is about 10℃ lower than the plains. Also, when the wind blows, the perceived temperature drops rapidly. Please take sufficient measures against the cold. [Things to bring] Snacks, water, lunch Plastic bottles, rice balls, and other items with a lot of water are not recommended as they may freeze.

If you arrive by car

Take the Tohoku Expressway Utsunomiya IC to the Nikko Utsunomiya Road (expressway), get off at Kiyotaki IC, and take National Route 120 to Akanuma in about 70 minutes.

If you arrive by train

Take the bus bound for Yumoto Onsen from JR Nikko Station or Tobu Nikko Station on the Tobu Line. Get off at the "Akanuma" bus stop.
