We will be holding a "Noh Theater Walk" event where you can enjoy exhibitions and experiences at the Noh Theater! In addition to exhibitions and explanations of Noh masks and costumes, various Noh experiences and demonstrations will also be held. This event is easy to understand for beginners and foreigners, and allows you to learn and enjoy Noh. Please feel free to take this opportunity to come to the Noh Theater! *No reservation is required to participate. *There is a limit to the number of people who can experience at one time. Please note that we may not be able to guide you depending on the congestion on the day. *Reservations on this site are only for "entry reservations". If you would like to make a reservation to participate in the Noh experience, please contact Ishikawa Prefectural Noh Theater (076-264-2598).
Traditional performing arts may seem a little difficult to understand, but this event will allow even novices to experience Noh in an easy-to-understand way through exhibitions and experiences. There will also be short demonstrations. This is recommended for those who feel it is too daunting to suddenly see a performance! *Please see the flyer for details of the program.
Our interpreting staff will be on hand to help foreign visitors understand and enjoy the traditional Japanese culture of Noh.
The venue, Ishikawa Prefectural Noh Theatre, is located within walking distance of Kenrokuen Garden, a famous tourist spot in Ishikawa Prefecture, as well as numerous cultural facilities such as the Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Art and the Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of History. The Kanazawa Noh Museum, which displays Noh masks and costumes and also offers courses and experiences, is also within walking distance! Be sure to stop by during your sightseeing trip to Kanazawa!

Don't miss the Noh stage, a nationally registered tangible cultural property The Noh stage used in the performances has been relocated from the original Kanazawa Noh Theatre, which was built in 1932, and was registered as a national tangible cultural property in 2023. Come and experience the history of Kanazawa and Noh from the elegant Noh stage.

Ishikawa Prefectural Noh Theatre
20-30 minutes from Kanazawa-Nishi IC or Morimoto IC on the Hokuriku Expressway. Please use the Cultural Facilities Shared First Parking Lot (Ishikawa Prefectural Noh Theatre Parking Lot / 128 spaces). *Please note that there is a limit to the number of parking spaces. If the parking lot is full, please use a nearby paid parking lot. If you are using a large bus, please contact Ishikawa Prefectural Noh Theatre in advance.
