≪Karuizawa Garden Farm, 40-minute tasting of multiple varieties, premium course≫The premium course allows you to enjoy all-you-can-eat red strawberries of multiple varieties for 40 minutes. The types of strawberries are Benihoppe, Kaorino, Yotsuboshi, Yayoihime, Koiminori, etc., and there are about three varieties depending on the growing conditions. ★Our farm's "Kaorino" is a special strawberry that won the taste evaluation of the "1st Strawberry Championship" hosted by the Japan Vegetable Sommelier Association, and "Yotsuboshi" is a special strawberry that won the taste evaluation of the "2nd Strawberry Championship". ▼Information about our farm▼★★Top ranking in the annual strawberry picking popularity ranking★★ (1st place in 2019, 1st place in 2022, 4th place in 2023: Hokuriku Koshinetsu area, Ikoyo survey) Karuizawa's winter and spring strawberries are characterized by their melting sweetness. The strawberry picking house is located in a plateau area at an altitude of 1,000m, so the temperature difference between day and night creates strawberries with a rich flavor. Although the harvest volume is reduced by the time-consuming manual bud picking (thinning), we have devised a way to create strawberries with a rich flavor that you have never tasted before. Please enjoy this experience that can only be experienced in Karuizawa to your heart's content. All strawberry houses are grown in clean elevated cultivation, making picking easy. It is located in Firefly Village, which has a great view and is surrounded by the majestic Mt. Asama, about 15 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station. ▼Introduction of the main target varieties▼・Kaorino: In the cold climate of Karuizawa, the strawberries ripen slowly and fully, so they are enveloped in a vanilla-like scent, as if you were drinking strawberry juice. ・Yotsuboshi: Our Yotsuboshi not only has a rich flavor with an excellent triplet of sweetness, sourness, and aroma, but also grows into a very neat and beautiful fruit.・Yayoihime: The sweetest of all varieties at its peak, and the size of the berries is also enjoyable. *Shinku no Meisuzu has been excluded from the Premium Course because it has often been unavailable due to growing conditions.
