Plan description

Enjoy successive Isokichi works with luxurious commentary! Ikichi Fukaka Pottery Kiln is located in Yawata, where kilns for making figurines are concentrated. It has roots that the first generation was a pottery specializing in ceramics, and even now, we are doing everything from creating the ceramics to painting. This program is a studio tour in which Ms. Ikika Asakura, the daughter of Mr. Isokichi Asakura, the fourth generation, explains the studio, gallery, and works. At the end of the tour, you can actually use the works of the kiln and taste the coffee. *For foreign nationals: Information on the day will be in Japanese only.

Ikichi crimson pottery kiln carries out all processes from the base material to the painting. In this program, under the guidance of Mr. Ichika Asakura, you will be able to see the entire process from clay to gorgeously painted Kutani ware.

A gallery where valuable first and second generation works are stored will also be guided with commentary

The gallery attached to the workshop is a building that imitates the architectural style of "Isokichi Asakura Museum" in Nomi City, and the works of Mr. Isokichi 2nd and Mr. Isokichi 3 are lined up. .. You can know the story of each work by explaining the dynamic and thick works because they have roots in the figurine base shop.

Original coffee or matcha that you can drink at the work, with sweets

At the end of the program, tea time at a cafe where you can purchase kiln works. You can choose your favorite cup from the kiln works and enjoy coffee, matcha, and fresh sweets prepared by Gyomatsu Kyokushodo for this day.
