Hozugawa Authentic Family Rafting is one of the few spots where 3 generations, from children aged 5 to seniors, can enjoy authentic rafting. In the full-scale family course, even small children and those who do not have physical strength can experience full-fledged rafting with peace of mind, as they slowly descend the gentle course even in the Hozu River. In addition, all guides are rescue qualified, so we have received many reviews for safe and secure tours. During the rafting, you can play games and swim in the river. From children to grandparents, the whole family can fully enjoy the great nature of Hozugawa.

30 minutes by train from Kyoto Station, 5 minutes by car from Shino IC on the Kyoto Jukan Expressway, excellent access!

Kyoto Hozugawa Rafting is located closest to the Kansai area, and is a recommended spot where you can enjoy the most authentic rafting in the Kinki region. Equipped with 20 parking lots, even if the parking lot is full, we will guide you to the nearest paid parking lot.

We have SRT-1 (Swiftwater Rescue Technician-1) instructors and Rescue Japan instructors, and we conduct training regularly. In addition, all guides hold some kind of first aid qualification such as MFA (Medic First Aid), Japanese Red Cross Society, firefighting standard lifesaving course, etc., and all guides have undergone water rescue training.

Time schedule

Gather at Hozugawa Base Hozugawa Base is a 5-minute walk from JR Mabori Station, and free parking is available on-site for those driving. . The changing rooms are equipped with coin lockers and air conditioning. Clothing is available in kids sizes and adult sizes from XS to 4XL. (It takes 30 minutes from Kyoto Station to Mabori Station on the JR Sagano Line.) Even if the parking lot is full, we will guide you to the nearest paid parking lot.

Start changing clothes! After completing the reception and filling out the documents, I immediately changed clothes. There are also coin lockers for valuables, so you can rest assured. After changing clothes, put on a life jacket and a helmet. Please be assured that the guide will check the equipment firmly.

Transfer to river, safety briefing Take a bus to the starting point. Our staff will give you a safety briefing. (There may be a safety explanation at the meeting place before moving)

Goal ~Arrival~ The goal is to enjoy nature! Playing a lot, swimming, rowing a boat... After reaching the goal, you will feel a sense of accomplishment and have the best smile! It takes about 5 minutes on foot from the goal to the meeting place. If the time is right, you may be able to see the Torokko train as you walk beside Torokko Kameoka Station! When you return to the Hozugawa base (meeting place), you can change clothes and disperse freely. There is also a screening of the photos taken by the guide, so please take a look as long as time permits ♪
