The land of Fushimi, which is blessed with abundant underground water veins from the Momoyama Hills, was once called "Fushimizu", and since the water was suitable for sake brewing, it is said that full-scale brewing began about 400 years ago. I'm here. As a castle town, it prospered as a port on the Yodo River on the Tokaido, and is a sake brewery with white walls that stand out along the Uji River and canal. The townscape of Fushimi, where you can enjoy the atmosphere unique to a sake brewing town as the tenkokubune sails through the swaying willows, has been designated as Kyoto City's Fushimi Minamihama Landscape Improvement District. ~Time schedule~ We will give you a handmade guidebook at the time of the meeting, so please take it home as a reference during the tour or as a commemoration of your participation. 13:00 [Meet at the north ticket gate of Chushojima Station on the Keihan Electric Railway] The tour starts here! Although the road is flat, you will walk about 2 kilometers, so please wear comfortable shoes on the day. 13:10 [Teradaya Ryokan] A famous sightseeing spot in Fushimi, Kyoto, where Ryoma Sakamoto, a hero at the end of the Tokugawa shogunate, was attacked. In the place where his old residence used to be, there is a statue of Ryoma and a stone monument of the nine martyr of the Satsuma domain. increase. 13:45 [Kizakura Kappa Story] Speaking of Kizakura, it is famous for the sake commercials that use Kappa characters, but in fact, it is also the first company in Kyoto to make local beer. Therefore, at Fushimizugura, in addition to the sake production process, you can also tour the beer factory. After the tour, you can sample sake and beer in the lovely courtyard. 14:30 [Fushimizu Sake Kurakoji] Fushimizu Sake Kurakoji opened in March 2016. This is a sake theme park where you can enjoy local Fushimi sake and dishes from all over Japan. With the support of 17 breweries belonging to the Fushimi Sake Brewers Association, this facility is a facility where you can enjoy about 100 kinds of Fushimi local sake. 14:45 [Fushimi Yume Hyakushu] Shop & Cafe “Fushimi Yume Hyakushu”. In fact, this building used the former head office of Gekkeikan, which was built in the Taisho period. For those who have participated in our tour only this summer, we have prepared sake ice cream here. 15:00 [Gekkeikan Okura Memorial Museum] Surprisingly, this building is a wooden storehouse built in the Meiji period. At the well in the courtyard, you can drink the water used for sake brewing. Just like Fushimi sake, it is very soft and delicious, so please try it. You will be amazed at how soft it is. In the exhibition room, you can see traditional tools for sake brewing, which are designated as tangible folk cultural properties of Kyoto City. 15:45 [Jukokubune boat dock] There is a boarding place for a sightseeing boat called "Jukokubune". From the Edo period to the end of the Meiji period, this ship played an active role as a logistics hub connecting Fushimi and Osaka. At that time, it took seven hours by boat to transport people, sake, and rice from Fushimi to Osaka.
A famous sightseeing spot in Fushimi, Kyoto, where Ryoma Sakamoto, a hero at the end of the Tokugawa shogunate, was attacked. In the place where the former residence used to be, there is a statue of Ryoma and stone monuments of the nine martyrs of the Satsuma domain. It is
Fushimi, Kyoto City. Sake brewing has flourished since ancient times in this area, where many legends about its famous water remain. We would like to introduce some spots that we would definitely recommend on your Fushimi sake brewery tour. I have a feeling that any sake expert will discover “something” on a trip where you can meet your favorite sake through a brewery tour and tasting, smack your lips over sweets made with sake, and enjoy the perfect snacks. I will.
Each sake brewery has a fun space where sake lovers can gather to enjoy Fushimi's sake. It is a place where not only Japanese but also foreign tourists can experience the charm of sake. A Japanese sake theme park! ! Summer plan limited sake ice cream will be presented to all participants!

Teradaya Ryokan Teradaya prospered at the end of the Tokugawa shogunate with its sanjikkokubune, and in 1862 the Fushimi Incident (Teradaya Incident) occurred. In 1866, Ryoma Sakamoto was attacked by a shogunate official while he was staying at the hotel, but there is an episode that the landlady and Se's adopted daughter Oryo (later Ryoma's wife) managed to escape from the disaster.
