Enjoy the popular winter smelt fishing on ice near Sapporo. Experience the smelt fishing experience on the popular Barato River, about 30-40 minutes by car from central Sapporo! This tour is recommended for those traveling by rental car or locals who can get there on their own! Since the tour meets and disbands at the location, you can play until the time limit is up or return at any time, making it easy to tailor your trip to your schedule. There's also a steakhouse, Barato Garden North Hill, right in front of the fishing spot, where you can enjoy a delicious Jingisukan lunch. Fishing gear and boots are also available for free rental, so you can come empty-handed! If you have trouble baiting the line, touching the fish, or don't know how to catch them, our guides will be happy to help you! We'll do our best to help you so you can concentrate on your fishing! Tempura tasting is available (subject to availability depending on the catch). *The tour runs from mid-January to late March (subject to ice conditions).
Let's experience a very popular activity in the great nature of Hokkaido's midwinter! We will help you create wonderful memories for families, couples, friends, and individuals.
