Plan description

Leave the stone thing to me! From processing to stone-baked potatoes! ? Onishi Stone has been processing various stone materials, mainly local stone materials. Because stone is heavy, the technology for processing stone in that region has been developed and developed specifically in the region. In this program, Mr. Onishi, who is a stone geek who can talk about stones all the time, will guide you around the factory. While explaining the graves and stone works that Onishi Stone has made so far, you can experience the local stone culture. *For foreign nationals: Information on the day will be in Japanese only.

Observing stone processing that is rarely seen

Since time immemorial, humans have used stone to build castles and tombs. Stone is very heavy, but it is also a building material that is slow to weather and maintains well. Therefore, stone culture was closely related to human activity. Of course, the same is true for stone processing, and it is said that processing techniques that match the stones of the region have been developed precisely because they are heavy and difficult to move far away. In this program, you can see, hear, and try actual processing techniques while touring the factory of Onishi Stone, and experience it with your whole body.

Experience engraving your favorite characters on stone

Graves and lanterns come to mind when you think of a stone shop. It's hard to come up with an image that you can enjoy at home. This time, we have prepared a program where you can experience carving letters you wrote yourself with sandblasting. Let's take this opportunity to feel closer to stone, which is a bit far from being processed with a hard image!

Enjoy crystal stone-grilled potatoes! ?

Just before last year's GEMBA Monozukuri Expo, I came up with the idea for the first time I tried stone-baked potatoes, not stone-baked potatoes! It was very well received, so this time it will be implemented as part of the program. If you have a question mark in your head, check it out with your own eyes! Please enjoy the sweet and fluffy potatoes.
