Honda Farm is particular about making soil, but in fact, we also use a hydroponic cultivation method that uses rice husks instead of soil. By growing vegetables using hydroponics, it is possible to reduce the burden of agricultural work and prevent continuous cropping failure, which causes poor growth of vegetables. More efficient agriculture is realized by combining hydroponics and environmental management in greenhouses with ICT.

Tomatoes were grown in the greenhouse that you will be visiting this time, but this year the tomatoes got sick. So I decided to switch the vegetables grown in the house from tomatoes to cucumbers. Originally, it is not easy to change the crops to be grown completely, and there are not so many farmers who are using hydroponics for cucumbers compared to hydroponics for tomatoes.
