This is a Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki pottery experience at Heian Gyokuo Touen. Located on the first floor of Hotel Emion Kyoto in Umekoji, Kyoto, this experience is open to families, friends, and couples. Using a hand-cranked potter's wheel, you'll create a vessel using clay uniquely blended by the potter. A Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki artisan will provide gentle and careful instruction. You can choose one of four different colors (glazes). The base carving (ringed base, etc.), bisque firing, glazing, and final firing are all done in our kiln. It will take about 2 to 4 months for the piece to be completed, so please look forward to it.
