Plan description

It is a special experience to walk the beautiful clear stream flowing from the vast beech forest of the Shirakami Mountains, a World Heritage Site. It will be held in Fujikoto River, Akita Prefecture. The river is so beautiful that you can see the bottom. You won't meet other people while trekking. You can enjoy a private feeling. There may be encounters with birds and fish. A guide will accompany you, so you can rest assured even if you are new to river trekking. If it's hot, you can swim or jump. Lunch (included in the tour price) is a lunch box using locally produced rice and wild plants. It will be on the banks of a clear stream. It is a day where you can feel the untouched nature with your whole body. On rainy days, you can change to Shirakami no Mori trekking. [Enjoyment after the tour] Original soft serve ice cream, coffee brewed in Shirakami's water, souvenirs, etc. at "Mori no Eki". Take a bath at "Yunosawa Onsenkyo". (Fee not included) Visit to "Shirakami Mountains World Heritage Center Fujisatokan" (free of charge). Visit "Garo Waterfall", "Choshi Waterfall", and "Shiraito Two-tiered Waterfall". All are right next to the meeting / dissolution place. [Accommodation information] Search for "Stay at Fujisato" * The nearest accommodation is "Hotel Yutoria Fujisato"

You will be accompanied by a guide, so you don't have to worry even if it's your first time.

Beginners will be carefully taught. The program is adapted to the physical fitness of the participants. For those who don't usually exercise, take your time and enjoy it. For those who are physically fit, enjoy actively.

Optional: get a pair of Jika-tabi Shoes!

Jika-tabi known as footwear for ninjas, anime characters, and performers of traditional Japanese festivals. In fact, it was also used by the ancestors of the Shirakami Mountains when walking in mountains and rivers. If you wish, we will prepare this Jika-tabi. Why don't you think of your ancestors who lived with nature while walking in the river wearing Jika-tabi? * You can take your Jikatabi home with you.

Relax at the nearby onsen (hot spring)

You can enjoy a warm and relaxing dip in hot spring waters located right beside the meeting point, for less than 500 yen.
