Let's enjoy "Kutani with overpainting" with Japanese paint! Isokichi Asakura pottery kiln located in Yawata where kilns for making figurines are concentrated. The first generation had its roots in being a kiln specializing in base materials, and is still engaged in everything from base material production to painting. In the GEMBA program, we will hold a workshop to make original ceramic plates by painting with Japanese paint on the three-dimensional ceramic plates prepared for this day. On the day of the event, Isokichi Asakura, the daughter of Isokichi Asakura, the third generation, will teach painting directly. After the experience, you can also have a tea time at the shop where you can purchase works. Enjoy a painting experience unlike any other at Isokichi Asakura Pottery Kiln, which also has a gallery that you can visit on the premises. * For foreign nationals: Information on the day will be in Japanese only.

You can experience painting with Japanese paints in a three-dimensional work.

At Isokichi Asakura Pottery Kiln, painting is done using Japanese paint. When painting a three-dimensional object, it hangs down or becomes uneven, and the difficulty changes into the fun of the work. The deep hue created by performing delicate painting many times is called "Asazo color" and is inherited. In the painting experience, you can actually use Japanese paint to experience a part of the production of Isokichi Asakura pottery kiln.

Complete my ceramic plate while touching the sensitivity of the writer Asazo clan

Mr. Ichika, the daughter of Mr. Isokichi Asakura, will teach the painting directly on the original ceramic plate prepared by Mr. Hiroaki Asakura for this day. Let's complete my ceramic plate while touching the cute, delicate and beautiful sensitivity of Mr. Ichika who says "Kutani is a painting". If you draw "Wellcome", you can hang it on the entrance or the door of the room, and if you write your surname, you can draw a picture on the nameplate and frame it.

A gallery where you can enjoy the works of Isokichi Asakura

The gallery attached to the workshop is a building that imitates the architectural style of "Isokichi Asakura Museum" in Nomi City, and the works of Mr. Isokichi 2nd and Mr. Isokichi 3 are lined up. .. You can know the story of each work by explaining the dynamic and thick works because they have roots in the figurine base shop.
