It is a plan that you can experience weaving two types of silk fabrics, plain weave and twill weave, and tour the workshop by yourself. You can take the completed work home on the day. Weaving can be done easily from elementary school students to the elderly. Feel the "texture" of the woven fabric you woven yourself. You can see, touch, and experience the world's best works of art in Japan. * Bonus: Take a photo on a restored high-end machine. Present an original postcard. You can also shop. You can experience it from the third grade of elementary school. The height is about 130 cm.
Weave a silk fabric of about 10 cm square and take it home. You can choose one of about 10 types of colored thread (weft thread). Time required: Approximately 25 minutes You can feel free to experience weaving from elementary school students to the elderly. It is also used by those who want to try weaving once, who want to experience traditional culture, children's independent studies, and study trips.
Weave a silk fabric of about 18 cm square and take it home. You can choose one of about 5 types of colored thread (weft thread). Time required: Approximately 45 minutes
In the workshop tour, you can visit the Nishikori workshop of textile artist Koho Tatsumura. Mr. Mitsumine Tatsumura is a person who has worked on the preservation and training of traditional techniques, and has worked on the restoration of "Ryokuchi Kacho Beast Bunnishiki", etc. You can enjoy Nishikori's works of art, restored textiles from ancient textiles, restored high machines, and textile materials with explanations.
