■ What is Iaido?
Iaido is a martial art that originates from the sword-drawing technique created by Hayashizaki Shigenobu Year It has been developed as a technique to slash the enemy by pulling out the sword when the enemy attacks without pulling out the sword.
The era of war is over, and the characteristics of Iaido, which can respond flexibly from a state of not being in a fighting posture, have sublimated into the spirit of "non-fighting technology" that does not unnecessarily hurt the opponent, and the enhanced one becomes Bushido. It has influenced me.
Because Iaido uses the mind and body rationally, it is now widely loved as a martial art that is used by both men and women of all ages to train their minds and bodies and lead their daily lives well.

The Iaido experience will be held at the Iaido Shinbukan Dojo. The dojo is located next to Iai Shrine, the number one shrine in Japan where the founder of Iaido, Hayashizaki Shigenobu, is enshrined. Murayama City, Yamagata Prefecture, is the birthplace of Hayashizaki Shigenobu and is known as the birthplace and sanctuary of Iaido.

Instructors who have masters of Muso Shinden-ryu and swordsmanship will teach you kindly and politely from the beginning. You can learn and practice not only the technical aspects of Iaido, but also the actions that can be utilized in daily life, and the spirit of "non-fighting technology."

Iaido is a martial art that anyone, regardless of age or sex, can participate in because it is a technique for rationally manipulating the mind and body and does not rely on muscle strength. Even those who are not confident in their physical strength can develop a sense of physical strength and physical balance without difficulty by repeating daily actions such as "seiza" and "standing" correctly.
