A relaxing kayaking experience on the mangrove river, a place where the sea and the mountains are connected. Ride a kayak and explore the Hirugi forest on the Miyara River, which has been designated as a national natural monument! Inside the mangrove forest is an extraordinary world. Get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and listen to the sounds of nature. The day you arrive at Ishigaki or the day you leave, you can easily experience a full-fledged jungle in a short time! Observe creatures in small caves and tidal flats where bats live. Find crabs, gobies, and more! Have fun with an adventurous mood and spend a relaxing time at a healing spot! On the tidal flats, look for crabs in their burrows and flying gobies! You might be able to take a picture with it on your hand. Crabs are very sensitive to the sound of footsteps, so be patient! Photos taken by the staff during the tour can be sent as data via email! ~ About the tour start time ~ The tour start time is set in consideration of the ebb and flow of the tide. Therefore, tours with a tidal flat walk are limited in time during the day. Note) Due to the intense heat from the latter half of June to the end of September, the tour will be held only in the early morning and evening.
We limit the number of guests per tour for your comfort and personalized service. We strive to tailor our tours to suit each customer.
We will send you the tour photos taken by the staff on LINE. You can also rent a waterproof case for your smartphone, so you can take pictures yourself.
The departure point of the tour is about 15 minutes by car from the city center and about 10 minutes from the airport. Access is good, so if the tide is right on the day you arrive at Ishigaki or on your way home, you can participate! Before you get on the kayak, we will give you a thorough training, so even if it's your first time, it's okay! You can easily enjoy full-scale jungle exploration in a short time. The meeting place (shop) is right next to the river. Fully equipped with changing clothes and shower room. There are also restrooms and rest areas.
