Entry for the 2020 Kasumigaura and International Blind Marathon has started!
(Full marathon: 9,000 yen, 10 mile race: 7,500 yen, 5km race: 5,500 yen)

● Official recognition: Approved by Japan Association of Athletics Federations, International Association of Athletics Federations approved course and World Para Athletics (WPA) approved event. Runners participating in the IPC Registration Division, need to have
a registered IPC Athletics License and to hold an international class
prior to this race for his/her results to be officially
recognized for rankings and records of WPA.
The maximum number of applicants for the full marathon is 15,000 (first-come-first-served basis) 10 miles: 6,000 (first-come-first-served basis) 5km: 2,000 (first-come-first-served basis). * Entry acceptance period: December 4, 1st year (Wednesday) 10:00 to February 23, 2nd year (Sunday) 24:00
The marathon starts from Kawaguchi Athletic Park area and goes along the shores of lake through a midpoint at Kasumigaura City History Museum and finishes at Kawaguchi Athletic Park J:COM Field Tsuchiura.
● Full marathon: 17km checkpoint 12:15 (2 hours and 25 minutes), 28.5km checkpoint 14:10 (4 hours and 20 minutes), Finish line 16:00 (6 hours and 10 minutes)
● 10 mile race: Finish 11:20 (2 hours)
● 5km race: Finish 11:10 (40 minutes)
* A starting pistol will be used. Depending on the block, it may take more than 10 minutes to pass through the starting line after the pistol sound.

Please try to be in the best physical conditions possible and get a medical checkup prior to the event. If you are not feeling well on the event day, please refrain from participating. ・ Participants who are determined unfit to continue the race by a competition officer may be disqualified. ・ Entry fees will not be refunded in the case of event cancellation due to conditions beyond the control of the organizers. ・ The organizers will not be responsible for delayed arrival of participants on the day of the race due to public transport or road traffic conditions. ・ Wearing or displaying any designs and trademarks representing company/brand names and such for advertising purposes within the event venue or on the courses is prohibited. ・ Participants must adhere to all instructions by the organizers regarding any event-related matters not covered above. |
