Cruising through the drift ice on Evergreen, looking for animals and birds that have wintered in Shiretoko. Approximately 700 white-tailed eagles and Steller's sea eagles come here only during the drift ice season, and you have a high chance of seeing them. This is a great value cruise that allows you to experience the great winter nature of Shiretoko in a short time.
Whenever you discover an animal, we will inform you and the staff will carefully guide you about the ecology, characteristics, habits, etc. At the same time, you can get a closer look at the Alaska pollack fishing boats that start around January. Only Rausu can board a drift ice sightseeing boat on the Shiretoko Peninsula in winter.
