At the Oita Fragrance Museum, visitors can enjoy the experience of mixing various scents and making their own original perfumes. This is a request reservation. Event time: 10:30~ / 13:00~ / 15:00~ / 16:30~ *Reception is until 15 minutes before the start of each experience. Please let us know your desired time by message. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes.

Mix to your favorite scent

We combine various scents to create your favorite scent. Create a scent that makes you feel comfortable while enjoying the atmosphere of a science experiment. The scent will be completely different depending on how you combine them, so find the scent that suits you best. You can bottle your perfume and take it home with you. Every time you touch the scent, happy memories of Beppu come back to you, making it a great souvenir.

Relax at a gallery or cafe

The ``Fragrance Product Gallery'' on the first floor displays valuable perfume collections from around the world, as well as introduces the types of perfumes and how to prepare them. You can also relax at the cafe. There is a gallery on the second floor where you can learn about the history of fragrance, and an experience workshop on the third floor. Why not experience the profound world of fragrance from various angles?

A. Regarding the perfume making event time on February 4th.
Please make your selection as we cannot confirm your reservation unless you decide on a time.

*Please be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes in advance. If you are late, we will not be able to show you the time.

Q. We are only 4 persons. May i know is there any class open around 2 feb to 4 feb as we will be at Beppu around that time ? How long is the lesson ? What time is the lesson ? What is the charge If we decided to make more ? Will there be a tour of the scent in English ? Is the fee inlcuding entrance fee to the Mesuem ?

Please request your desired experience date and time.
Currently, the experience is held four times a day. Start times are 10:30~, 13:00~, 15:00~, and 16:30~.The required time is 40 to 50 minutes.During this experience time, each person will make only one perfume.
The instructor can only speak Japanese, but English textbooks are available.
Admission fees must be paid separately at the museum on the day. Adults are 500 yen.
