Selling points regarding safety
COSMIC OCEAN Safety Initiative: At the heart of every experience at COSMIC OCEAN is one unwavering belief: "A truly moving experience can only be built on complete safety." The owner has been sailing since he was 10 years old, mastering the art of reading the wind and riding the waves. He has been a NAUI instructor for 27 years, and has also operated his own yacht here in northern Okinawa for about 10 years. His more than quarter-century career and decades of community roots form the backbone of our safety measures. 1. Our History and Responsibility as Marine Professionals: We don't boast about anything special. However, as professionals on the water, we adhere to the fundamentals more diligently than anyone else. 27 Years of Field Experience: Our 27 years as instructors are testament to the countless ocean conditions and the smiles of our guests. This experience has honed our intuition and judgment to prevent problems before they occur. Compliance with Legal Requirements: We meet all professional requirements, including holding the necessary "diver license" to work as a guide diver in Okinawa and being registered with the Okinawa Marine Leisure Safety Bureau (OMSB). 2. Experience is the greatest risk management. We complement the subtleties of the ocean, which cannot be measured by weather forecasts alone, with our experience. Weather Observation through Yachting Experience: My experience sailing since childhood has given me the ability to predict the conditions several hours into the future from subtle changes in wind direction and the smell of the sea. 10 Years in Northern Okinawa: Over the past decade, I have thoroughly familiarized myself with the ocean's northern waters, gaining a thorough understanding of the tidal currents and wind-induced wave patterns in each area. We never compromise when selecting the best and safest spot for each day. 3. Activity-Specific Safety Protocols: Clear kayaking, skin diving, SUP, and diving. Each activity has its own unique "safety etiquette." Strictly Small Groups: We do not accommodate large numbers of people at a time. With 27 years of experience, we strictly define the area within which we can fully monitor our equipment. Skin diving monitoring system: Skin diving offers a high degree of freedom, but also requires self-management. Utilizing our SIJ Level 2 certification, we ensure proper buoyancy, provide thorough monitoring, and create a reasonable dive plan tailored to each individual. Kayak and SUP technical instruction: Rather than being played with, we encourage the enjoyment of mastering the equipment. By teaching proper paddling techniques, we prevent fatigue-related accidents and panic. 4. Sincerity toward the equipment that holds our lives. The equipment you hold in your hands is a reflection of our trust. Dedicated maintenance: Daily inspections are performed by professionals with 27 years of experience. From regulators and BCDs to kayak hulls and SUP leashes, we ensure even the slightest abnormality is not overlooked and the equipment is always kept in top condition. Full emergency response system: AEDs and oxygen supply kits are always on hand in case of an emergency. Our partnership with emergency services has also been firmly established through 10 years of work in the northern part of the island. Humility and respect for the ocean. Whether I've been doing this job for 27 years or I've been sailing since I was 10, I always aim to be a humble person when it comes to the ocean. My many years of experience don't lead to complacency, but to greater caution and deeper respect for the ocean. It's this peace of mind that allows our guests to entrust themselves to the "cosmic" that is Okinawa's ocean. COSMIC OCEAN will continue to do everything in its power to live up to that trust. With 27 years of experience, 10 years of success in the northern part of the island, and a passion for the ocean, we will continue to take you on safe adventures today.
