A fantastic landscape unfolds Unlike summer, the river in winter creates a mysterious landscape. Experience a world where the only sound you can hear is the sound of water.
Birds living on the river in winter Some birds live in the river in winter. If you're lucky, you might even be able to see flocks of ducks and cormorants!
When getting on and off, you will have to walk on snow You will be walking on snow when getting on and off the boat. Although the distance is short, the snow is deep, so be sure to wear warm clothing.
Time schedule
Gather at Niseko Base! First, reception - changing clothes The meeting point is the Lion Niseko Base, a 5-minute walk from JR Niseko Station. After checking in and paying, we will check your outfit! If you are missing anything, such as winter clothing or shoes, we will lend you these. Once you are fully prepared, you can board the Lion car and depart.
Walking on the snow to the water We will travel by Lion Adventure vehicle. It will take about 5 minutes to reach the starting point! Let's go down a slight slope and get on the boat.
Let's start going down the river! Once you're on the boat, it's time to start your riverboat ride! Follow your guide's instructions and row skillfully.
Enjoy the scenery as you slowly descend the river The trip down the river takes about 30 to 40 minutes depending on the weather. Enjoy a leisurely ride down the Shiribetsu River that flows at the foot of Mt. Yotei.
Goal under the bridge! Enjoy a 2km river cruise and finish under the Niseko Ohashi Bridge. Get on the lion car and head back to the base. Once you've changed, it's time to finish. Thank you!
