Hisa River Kayak is a mangrove kayak tour service operated by Blue Field. The fee to view the exhibition room at the Hisa River Nature Experience Center is included! You can learn about the history, nature, and creatures of the region, and children can enjoy it. In a convenient location in central Okinawa, please experience a casual adventure tour that you can enjoy for about 2 hours between trips. We will deliver an extraordinary time on the river by kayaking or SUP. You can experience the nature unique to Okinawa, such as the mangrove, a plant that represents the subtropics, small creatures such as crabs and gobies that live in the mangrove forest, and wild birds that come to the river. The meeting place, Kadena Town Hisa River Nature Experience Center, is a building that will open in April 2022. There is an exhibition room on the 1st floor where you can learn about Okinawa's nature, history, and creatures. Children can enjoy the equipment that allows you to hear the birds' calls on a touch panel and the picture book supervised by experts. Separate for men and women: Changing rooms and shower rooms are available, so you don't have to worry if you get wet. Shampoo, body soap, and hair dryers are all free! You'll be fully prepared for your next destination. The entry point is right in front of the meeting place. There's no travel time and you can enter the river right away, so it's safe for families with small children.

Before departing, your guide will introduce you to the Hisa River, which you will be touring, at the Hisa River Nature Experience Center. The exhibition room is divided into the Nature and Living Creatures Zone and Culture and History Zone. ■Nature and Living Creatures Zone: You can learn about the Hisa River, which has the largest basin area on Okinawa Island, and the creatures that live in the rich nature surrounding the river. There are many exhibits related to various creatures, including plants, birds, fish, and insects, as well as the mangrove ecosystem. You can experience stimulating your five senses with things like "Habu sake," "smoked sea snakes," "a conch shell that you can actually blow," and "humpback whale baleen." ■Culture and History Zone: You can learn about the history of the Hisa River, which has been deeply involved in the development of Okinawa Prefecture as a whole, and has watched over the times along with the lives of people who have lived in harmony with nature since ancient times. During the Ryukyu Kingdom era, Kadena flourished as a port town that was a key part of maritime transportation, and even after the era of land transportation changed, it continued to thrive with a railway and sugar refinery. However, because it was a vast plain, it became the site of the landings during the Battle of Okinawa and the construction of an airfield (Kadena Air Base), and you can learn about the changes that have taken place there from the past to the present.

Shampoo, body soap, and hair dryers are also provided. You will be fully prepared for your next destination. There is also a rest room where those who are not participating in the tour can wait. There is a promenade along the river, so you can stroll alongside the customers on the kayak tour.

Not only life jackets, but also sandals, hats, and other free rental items are available. Windbreakers and waterproof pants are also available for rainy days, so you can rest assured even in the rain. There are also plenty of rental items for children! There is a wide variety of colors, so you can take great photos. This is an activity that you can participate in empty-handed as long as you have a change of clothes, so it is recommended for gaps in your travels. Don't worry if you don't have a change of clothes: T-shirts, shorts, towels, etc. are also sold.
