Golden Hanagasa - A unique experience that inherits tradition - Our "Golden Hanagasa" is a workshop that inherits the passion of my grandmother, who has been making Hanagasa, a traditional Okinawan culture, for 50 years, and passes it on to the present day. Our mission is to convey Okinawa's beautiful culture to many people while firmly inheriting my grandmother's techniques and wisdom. This is the only place in Japan, let alone Okinawa, where you can experience making Hanagasa. Through this special experience, you can experience the joy of making an original Hanagasa, one of a kind, while experiencing Okinawa's traditions. | Selling points regarding safety | At Golden Hanagasa, we take great care to ensure safety so that all participants can enjoy making the Hanagasa with peace of mind. When making Hanagasa, scissors are used to cut the fabric and other materials, but the craftsmen will provide full support during the process, so even beginners and children can work with peace of mind. In addition, when using glue, we will carefully explain in advance the precautions to take to avoid getting glue on your hands or clothes. Furthermore, to prevent injuries or trouble during the work, we have prepared easy-to-use tools for the experience and have set up a large work space. Aprons are also provided if necessary, so you can enjoy the experience in comfort. Come experience Okinawa's traditional culture in a safe environment! |
