This museum is the only museum in the world that exhibits glass crafts (about 2000 pieces) from ancient times to the present, including dragonfly balls made by a technique called lampwork. From elaborate and highly artistic works to unique works full of individuality, you can fully see the charm and potential of lampworking. In addition, at the demo / experience workshop, you can experience making dragonfly balls that even beginners can enjoy. There is also a museum shop, so please come visit us at the museum, which is full of fun to "see," "learn," "create," and "buy."

とても楽しかったです。
大人数でうかがいましたが、粛々と進めていただき、待ち時間も併設されていた展示館を見ていたり、暇をもて余すこともなく、楽しめました。

The color of the dragonfly ball is decided from abundant colored glass. We will create an original dragonfly ball by combining it with the design of dot balls, parts balls, or powder balls. There are about 1147 combinations! As for the parts balls, seasonal patterns such as cherry blossoms, ladybugs, and strawberries are also available in spring.
You can make it into an accessory by combining the completed dragonfly ball with the accessory parts sold separately. We have various accessories such as necklaces, straps, hairpins, book bookmarks, spoons and forks. Strap parts start at 500 yen, spoons and forks start at 750 yen, and necklace parts start at 1000 yen.
It takes about 1 hour for the dragonfly ball to cool down after production. Please see the permanent / planned exhibition during the waiting time. We display ancient glass, works by contemporary artists, and about 2000 glass crafts. Shopping at the museum shop is also fun. A selection of glass crafts ordered from Japan and overseas are lined up.
