Introduction of Uwakai area and Matsuno town

Matsuno Town is located in the southwestern part of Ehime Prefecture and is the smallest town in Ehime Prefecture, bordering Kochi Prefecture. Not only does 84% of the town have forests and the Nametoko Valley in Ashizuri-Uwakai National Park, it also has a townscape that once prospered as a place of distribution and trade at a key point on the Tosa Highway, and a medieval castle called Kagomori Castle. ” is a town rich in both nature and culture, such as being certified as a national historic site.

The Uwakai area refers to the sea area on the Ehime Prefecture side of the waterway sandwiched between Ehime Prefecture and Oita Prefecture, and the coastline is a ria coastline with a complex structure.
