Experience the taste of Autumn in the countryside (vegetarian friendly)

Just a 30 minute drive from Sendai Station, Akiu hot-spring is an oasis of beautiful nature; from incredible cherry blossoms in spring to the rich colors of Autumn.
Recent additions to the area include a local winery and a 150-year-old farmhouse converted into a stunning farm-to-table restaurant.
During your visit to Akiu, you will have the chance to harvest fresh seasonal vegetables alongside some friendly local farmers before taking them with you to be made into'Imoni ', a local Autumn cuisine. Imoni is basically an outdoor hot-pot party, made and and enjoyed with family, friends and neighbors!
Experience firsthand the local culture and tastes of Autumn in Tohoku!

Experience harvesting of fresh seasonal vegetables with a local farming family on their farm in Akiu. Call in to Akiu Winery to taste their fine selection of locally produced wines.

Head to the beautiful'Akiu-sha' – a 150 year old farmhouse converted into a modern farm-to-table restaurant – to enjoy an'Imoni' hot-pot party & veggie dinner! Feeling satisfied, roll yourself back onto the bus and return to Sendai Station.
