Takagariyama summit: Japan's highest class observatory, dynamically expanding the northern part of the Northern Alps. Reishoji Temple: There is a temple that was first opened in Shinano no Kuni in 1404 as the Soto sect, the Takarayama Gate in Nagano Prefecture, and the Omachi City Natural Monument Ohatsuki Ginkgo. We will observe Tipularia japonica, which belongs to the Orchidaceae family and is rarely found under forests in warm regions south of the central part. Omachi city area: Take a walk around the "Koisuru Omachi Sweets" store with the theme of local ingredients and love. You are responsible for purchasing sweets. Mountain Museum-Takagariyama Round trip about 9km A slightly sloping paved road where you can participate even with athletic shoes. Omachi Alpine Museum (elevation 766m) → Walk up about 1 hour and 30 minutes → Takagariyama summit (elevation 1155m) → Walk down about 20 minutes → Norietsu → Walk down about 30 minutes → Reishoji (elevation 870m) → Walk down about 25 minutes → Omachi Alpine Museum (elevation 766m) Dates: 4 / 25-6 / 30, 9 / 10-11 / 5 We do not accept reservations over the phone. We will visit the exhibition of mountain materials and the relationship between animals and plants at the foot of the Northern Alps (extra charge).
It is one of the best observatories in Japan, and the northern part of the Northern Alps dynamically spreads from Mt. Shirouma in the north to Mt. Chogatake in the south. Omachi Mountain Museum Parking Lot 8: 00-12: 00 AM
From Nagano Expressway Azumino IC, take National Highway 147 or the parallel Kita-Alps Panorama Road to Omachi. Turn right at the Minamiharamachi intersection and go straight to the foot of Mt. Higashiyama to reach the mountain road. It is about 200m on a mountain road.
Get off at Shinano Omachi Station on the JR Oito Line. About 25 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by taxi.
