Plan description

The only one in the world, Okinawa prefecture natural monument, Kumesima firefly inhabited only in Kumejima, is a valuable firefly so as to be designated as the species preservation law. I will guide you for the purpose of protecting the firefly. The journey time is approximately 1 hour.

A professional guide conducting ecological surveys and conservation and regeneration activities for Kumejima fireflies will guide you.

Contributes to the protection of nature

The participation fee will be used as a fund to conserve the various natural environments of Kumejima.

Evening observation session reception scene "Kumejima Firefly Museum" opened as a firefly probation facility. You can feel nature close to you and experience its importance.

Firefly hall tour By getting to know the various creatures that connect with fireflies, you can feel closer to the island's life being supported by nature, and you can also notice the global environment.

Kids corner Specimens, photographs, and reports are placed on the 2nd floor, where you can find out about the creatures of Kumejima. The kids' room with tatami mats also has picture books and picture books for children.
